About

The MONROE Mobile Broadband (MBB) measurement platform was originally developed within the EU Horizon 2020 project MONROE. The MONROE Alliance was formed at the end of the MONROE project to operate, maintain and further develop the MONROE platform as a key measurement resource for research and development of  MBB networks. The MONROE Alliance was formed by the original developers of the MONROE platform, but is open for new partners through an application process.

The MONROE Alliance is funded through the contributions of its partners. Several EU and national research projects also help fund ongoing extensions of the MONROE platform with 5G and IoT measurement capabilities. Users of the MONROE platform are required to pay a subscription fee to help fund the costs of the mobile broadband subscriptions.
